Overview Dashboard

Use the dashboard as your landing page for current work, setup blockers, workspace signals, and quick links into timeline or reports.

Overview Dashboard

Dashboard cards bring current activity, setup blockers, and team signals together.

The Overview Dashboard is your landing page after logging in. It gives you quick access to current work, recent activity, setup blockers, and team signals when you belong to a workspace.

The dashboard layout changes slightly depending on whether you belong to a workspace and whether reporting is available to you.

Always-available cards

These cards are the core of the dashboard and are available in every account configuration.

Current Activity

This card shows your current tracking status:

  • Active timer — If you are currently tracking time in the desktop app, this shows the active entry title and a live elapsed timer.
  • Most recent entry — Shows the latest completed entry with its title, start time, and duration.

If protected content is still locked in this browser session, titles display as Protected content until you unlock access from Access Setup.

Current Activity

The dashboard surfaces live tracking and your latest completed entry immediately after login.

Today Snapshot

A summary of your personal tracking for today:

  • Tracked today — Total tracked time so far today.
  • Completed blocks — Number of finished entries today.
  • Longest block — Duration of your longest completed entry today.
  • 7-day activity chart — A compact chart of your tracked time across the last 7 days. Clicking a bar opens that day in the Timeline.
Today Snapshot

Daily totals and the 7-day chart keep recent personal activity readable without leaving the dashboard.

Setup and Access

This card lists only active setup warnings or blockers that still need attention, such as:

  • Incomplete onboarding
  • Missing Personal Access setup
  • Missing transferable recovery method
  • Missing Personal Access keypair
  • Blocked workspace access
  • Workspace not in active status

When there are no active issues, the card shows a green No active setup or access blockers state.

Workspace-only cards

If you belong to at least one workspace, two additional cards appear.

Team Pulse

This card summarizes the current workspace week:

  • Current period status — Your own current workspace timesheet status for the week.
  • Pending action — A short next-action label such as Submit current period, Awaiting reviewer action, or Approved.
  • Approvals waiting — Visible to reviewer-level roles and above.
  • Team activity chart — Current-week tracked time across the workspace. Clicking a bar opens the matching workspace day in the Timeline.

Pending Timesheets

This card adapts to your workspace role:

  • Reviewer-level roles and above see a count of submitted timesheets awaiting review, with a direct link into a filtered Timesheets view.
  • Other roles see whether they have draft, returned, or other pending timesheets that still need action.

Reports Quick Access

This card appears whenever reporting is available to your account.

It shows your most recently used report filter summary, including scope, date range, bucket, and grouping, with a direct link to Reports.

If you have not run a report yet, the card shows an empty state instead of a saved summary.

Dashboard header and quick actions

At the top of the page, the dashboard also includes:

  • A personalized welcome message
  • Today’s date
  • An Open timeline button for quickly jumping into the Timeline

Notes for workspace users

When you belong to a workspace, the dashboard also shows a short note explaining that Team Pulse uses workspace-level aggregates. Reviewer-level roles see approval counts, while non-reviewer roles see aggregate workload only.
