Profile & Licensing

Check license state, account status, and the account actions available from the desktop app.

Profile Screen

Open the menu and select Profile to view your account information and current account status.

Depending on your sign-in state, the screen can show:

  • Your email address
  • Your first and last name
  • Your username
  • Your account and license status

Signed-in users can also:

  • Edit Profile
  • Logout
  • Open Access Settings

Account details, status, and licensing actions stay together on the profile screen.

Account Status

The profile screen includes an Account Status card that summarizes whether premium features are available.

Typical states include:

  • All features available — you are signed in and premium features are available
  • Premium license required — your account is available, but premium-only features stay locked
  • License expired — you are still signed in, but premium features are disabled until renewal
  • Register/Login required — shown when you are unregistered or logged out

In the Mac App Store build, the card instead shows a Free Version message explaining that premium features are not available in that build.

Licensing Actions

If premium is not currently active, the profile screen can show actions such as:

  • Get Premium
  • Renew License
  • Check for License

Signed-in users also get quick links to:

  • Open Portal
  • Manage Account

These links open the Trackself website in your browser for pricing, renewal, billing, and account management.

Free vs. Premium

The Mac App Store version of Trackself is free but does not include:

  • Jira integration
  • HTTP Sync
  • License management features

The premium version from trackself.io includes all features. Http sync, data protection, and core time tracking remain available in both versions.
